Costs
Peru is quite affordable country to travel although not as cheap as some places in Asia for example. If you do it the hard way and always go with the cheapest you can live with just 15-20 $ per day. Room rates start from 5 $ and meals from 2 $
The currency of Peru is the nuevo sol. US$1 is worth 3.357 nuevo soles (20 Jan 2006).

On markets always remember to bargain.
